Role Overview

Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop a career within the construction industry.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the safe, compliant and high-quality delivery of our projects, while assisting across a variety of business areas. You will manage health, safety, environmental, and quality documentation, ISO systems, supplier compliance, and project records.
This is a hands-on, varied role that offers exposure to all aspects of our business operations — from site safety and ISO compliance to training coordination and supplier management. It would particularly suit:
- An experienced administrator with construction or H&S knowledge looking to broaden their skills and technical knowledge, or
- An early-career H&S or construction professional eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction health & safety legislation, client requirements and best practice.

Support the preparation, review, and organisation of project-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
-
Maintain and update COSHH registers and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all materials used.
-
Help deliver and record inductions for operatives, maintaining accurate training records.
-
Monitor and update internal H&S documentation and digital forms (FastField, SharePoint).
-
Keep training and certification logs up to date; proactively organise refreshers and renewals.
-
Manage safe disposal of materials and maintain environmental consignment documentation.
-
Undertake ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) internal audits – gathering evidence, updating logs, and tracking actions.
-
Attend quarterly ISO Management Meetings, taking minutes, maintaining action logs, and circulating updates to relevant stakeholders.

Contribute to sustainability initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve energy efficiency.

Manage timely renewal of all company accreditations such as CHAS, SafeContractor, and Constructionline.

Co-ordinate supplier and subcontractor compliance, ensuring insurance, certification, and RAMS are received, checked, and filed.

Prepare PQQs, client questionnaires, and compliance documentation for tenders.
-
Manage the external audit process for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, ensuring records, evidence, and action plans are ready and deadlines are met.

Provide flexible support across the office team, assisting with bookings, office supplies & internal communications.

Help collate site photographs, project documentation, and marketing materials.

Undertake annual insurance renewal and deal with any in year claims.

Administer quarterly stocktakes, ensuring our materials are in good condition and within date.

Support colleagues during busy project periods — this is a varied, team-based role where adaptability and initiative are valued.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Clear, confident written communication for preparing professional documentation.
- Comfortable independently researching and interpreting requirements to find practical compliance solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel).
- Positive attitude, proactive approach, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Keen interest in learning about construction, health & safety, and quality management systems.
- First rate digital skills, using a variety of software platforms & adopting these independently with confidence.
- Previous administration experience, within construction or another regulated industry.
- Good understanding of health & safety or compliance.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification (advantageous — training and funding support available).
