It might be helpful to briefly explain the journey we’ve taken. Our former CHAS Advanced Accreditation demonstrated our comprehensive compliance with the widely recognised SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) framework and the former PAS 91 standards.
This level confirmed our strong adherence across nine crucial risk management areas, including health and safety and important considerations such as equality and diversity. It was a robust accreditation that served us, and indeed our clients, very well, streamlining pre-qualification processes and giving confidence in our operational integrity.
However, our progression to CHAS Elite goes several steps further, signifying an even more rigorous and holistic approach to risk management. This elite status encompasses everything covered in CHAS Advanced, but critically, it integrates the Common Assessment Standard.
This means our compliance has been thoroughly assessed and validated across an impressive thirteen key areas of risk management. Beyond the core health and safety aspects, CHAS Elite delves into crucial areas such as environmental management, ensuring our operations are conducted with minimal ecological impact, and financial stability, providing our customers with even greater assurance of our long-term reliability.

While PAS 91 has now been formally withdrawn, the Common Assessment Standard (CAS) has become the new industry benchmark for pre-qualification. Our CHAS Elite accreditation already aligns us with many of the CAS requirements and demonstrates a higher level of compliance than our former CHAS Advanced status. However, CAS introduces a broader set of risk management criteria, and we are actively working towards meeting and evidencing these additional elements in full. This ongoing progression ensures we remain aligned with the latest industry expectations while further strengthening the assurance we provide to our clients.
