In the realm of University Hygienic Wall Cladding projects, some stand out for their captivating narratives. Bonham Carter House is one such project, where the property itself boasts a compelling and storied history.
Situated on Gower Street in London, Bonham Carter House was originally erected as a hostel for unmarried women employed at the renowned Selfridges Oxford Street store. Completed in 1912, the building also encompasses Warwickshire House. Later renamed in memory of a relative of the Hollywood actress Helena Bonham Carter, Warwickshire House became Bonham Carter House.
One of the more intriguing facts about Bonham Carter House is its location. The building marks the site where the first anaesthetic was administered in England on 19th December 1846.
Fast forward to 2023 and the property is now entering its new phase of life.
